Hello there!
I was born and raised in Bellingham, WA before spending the last six years in the Seattle area. I now live in Lake Stevens, WA with my husband, two cats, and a corgi. My animals have become the fluffiest, sweetest coworkers this year. It is such a treat to work with them by my side.

Over the past few years, I have been nurturing my love for self-improvement. Working out and staying active has become a vital part of my daily routine. The feeling of knocking out an early morning sweat sesh allows me the clear head space I need to jump into any project with ease and readiness.

I balance my passion of health and well-being with an equal balance of cookie and cake decorating. This is something I was interested in as a young child and I have thoroughly enjoyed bringing this back into my life. My love for design gives me an extra boost of creativity when I am decorating and I have even been getting into photography to display some of my work for others to enjoy the aesthetic. Plus, who doesn't love cookies?

My design values

Empathy

The world is overcome with an infinite amount of information and as designers there is a responsibility to look at how our work affects the world. My goal is to shift my view into several different perspectives to better understand design from all aspects and angles. For me, it is important to find new ways to bring joy and fun into the experience without harming the quality of people’s lives.

Action

The statement I live by is “be better than your excuses”. This applies to many aspects of my life, but within design it’s about being an active and creative problem solver. Asking the right questions to the appropriate people so that my team and I can produce beautiful, emotion evoking design experiences.

Growth

I find excitement in the unknown. The projects I most enjoy are the ones I feel empowered to learn new skills or take on new challenges; especially learning from collaborators around me. Humans are relationship-centered and I strive to learn and grow from all the connections I have made throughout my personal and professional life.
